Since the first successful pilot of Tysim’s customized power construction rotary drilling rig (hereinafter referred to as the power construction drilling rig) in August 2020, data proved that the efficiency of the Tysim power construction drilling rig is 40 times of manpower, which means the construction safety and efficiency have been fully verified. According to that, the power construction drilling rig of Tysim stood out in the field of foundation construction and was unanimously recognized by State Grid. The R&D of power construction drilling rig realizes the purpose of basic mechanized construction such as piling in hilly and mountainous areas, which changes the traditional construction method of "mainly relying on manpower and supplemented by machine ", reduces construction risks, improves construction efficiency, and reduces labor intensity. So far, State Grid Hunan has carried out research on the mechanized construction of power construction drilling rig., Hunan Power Transmission and Transformation Co., Ltd, as the leading participant of the project has cooperated with Tysim to develop KR series small and medium-sized pole-forming drilling equipment with high efficiency according to the characteristics of transmission line construction., also called power construction drilling rig.

According to the construction requirements, the drilling rigs of Tysim have been divided into four series and 5 models: small (KR50D), medium (KR100D, KR110D), large (KR150D) and ultra-low headroom, all of them have obtained the type approval test report from Vehicle Testing Engineering Research Institute of China, and have applied for 9 patents successfully, including one patent of invention. Power construction drilling rigs are suitable for digging, excavation and cast-in-place piles, which can realize construction under clay, silt, sand, gravel, soft rock, and weathered rock condition, also all terrains of level ground and hills, and some mountainous areas. At present, it has been successfully applied in more than 200 line construction projects inside and outside the province.
